A short explainer of the subtitle overlay used during Khutbah & Live Session mode, so reviewers understand why text gets split the way it does.
Quick answer
Each khutbah slide shows in a bar across the bottom of the display, up to 3 lines at a time. If a slide's text would run longer than that, it's cut off — which is why slides are kept short during review, rather than something to fix by adjusting the display itself.
Where it appears
During Khutbah & Live Session mode, the subtitle bar sits across the bottom of the display, over a plain background. It's built to hold up to 3 lines of text per slide.
Why slides are kept short
A slide's text wraps naturally to fill the bar, but if it runs past 3 lines, the extra text is simply not shown. That's why khutbah text is broken into fairly short slides during extraction, and why merging several slides into one long line during review is worth avoiding — see Reviewing khutbah slides before Friday.
Arabic text
Arabic slides — the opening formula, salawat, and Quran citations — are shown right-to-left with extra line spacing, since Arabic diacritics need more vertical room than Latin text to stay legible.
